FAQ

Common Questions About Working With Savage Strategy Co

We believe in being direct about how we work, what it costs, and what you can expect. Here are the questions we hear most often.

About Our Services

What kind of businesses do you work with?

We work with established, owner-led businesses generating consistent revenue, typically between $500K and $5M annually. Our clients include business owners in agribusiness, hospitality, healthcare, and service-based businesses. Most are based in Northern Tasmania, though we work with clients across Australia and in New Zealand.

Do you work with startups?

Our focus is on established businesses with existing revenue and teams. We occasionally work with businesses in earlier stages if there is a strong fit, but our programmes are designed for owners who already have something to work with and want to take it further.

What does a typical engagement look like?

Most engagements run for 90 days to 12 months depending on the scope of work. We offer structured 90-day advisory programmes focused on profit, systems, or team performance, as well as longer-term retainer engagements for ongoing strategic support. Every engagement starts with a clear diagnostic to understand the actual constraints in your business before any work begins.

How is this different from hiring a business coach?

We do not run group programmes or sell a generic coaching product. Andrew works directly with each client as a hands-on advisor and strategic partner. The work is specific to your business, your numbers, and your team. We stay alongside you until the results are real, not just until the programme is scheduled to finish.

About Costs and Commitments

What does it cost to work with you?

Our 90-day advisory programmes are priced between $3,000 and $6,000 depending on scope and the specific areas we are working on. Longer-term retainer arrangements are priced based on requirements. We are transparent about pricing from the first conversation and there are no lock-in contracts beyond the agreed engagement.

Are there lock-in contracts?

No. We do not lock clients into long-term contracts. Each engagement is agreed at the outset and we review regularly. We want you to stay because the work is delivering results, not because you are contractually obligated.

How much of my time will it take?

Most clients spend two to four hours per week in advisory sessions, review activities, and implementation work. The time investment is structured to be practical and designed around the reality that you are already busy. We are not adding to the pressure; we are working to reduce it.

About Logistics and Delivery

Do I need to be based in Tasmania to work with you?

No. While we work closely with businesses in Northern Tasmania, we deliver services online and have clients across Australia and in New Zealand. We are comfortable and experienced working remotely and do so effectively.

What tools do you use to communicate and deliver work?

We keep it simple. Regular video sessions, shared documents and financial reports via cloud-based tools, and direct communication via WhatsApp for quick questions between sessions. We meet you where you are comfortable, not where a platform requires you to be.

About Results

What results can I expect?

Results depend on what we are working on. Clients focused on profit improvement typically see measurable gross margin gains within the first 90 days. Team and leadership work typically produces clear results over three to six months. We are direct about what is realistic for your specific situation at the start of any engagement.

Can you share examples of client results?

Yes. Across our engagements, we have helped clients achieve a 25 per cent year-on-year revenue improvement, recover $120,000 in overdue accounts receivable, improve technician efficiency from 70 to 85 per cent, and create meaningful time back for business owners who were previously stretched beyond capacity. Every situation is different and we will be honest about what is achievable in yours.

Getting Started

How do I know if this is the right time to work with a business advisor?

If you are generating consistent revenue but feel financially constrained, if you are working more hours than you should, if your team is too dependent on you, or if you know important work is sitting undone because nobody owns it, it is probably the right time. The best way to find out is a 30-minute conversation.

What happens in the first conversation?

We talk about your business. Where it is, what the real pressure points are, and what you are trying to achieve. There is no sales process and no obligation. If we believe we can genuinely help and if it is the right fit for both sides, we will say so clearly and explain what the next step looks like.

How do I take the Business Health Check quiz?

The Business Health Check is a short five-minute quiz that helps you identify which area of your business, profit, systems, or team, is most likely holding you back right now. You can take it from the main How We Help page or by clicking the link below.
